When we are running, normally who upped a pole stay in front of a mast. I love the time. It is only sail, wind and the voices that is by someones on the boat are talking and laughing. During running is one of the greatest moments for me.
Today, I just remembered a question with the image, which someone asked me ‘why you love go sailing?’
Firstly, I admired play with wind when I was kids and sailing is possible to do.
Secondly, sailboat looks dignified, I wanna be it.
Love the sailing.
Love the people who are a sailor.
Love the water.
Love the wind.
Although I wanted to be a single handler, meaning of sailing by my self.
I would like to go where I want.
I would like to do what I want.
And then , my mind is changed that I wanna go sailing ‘with my friends.’ It is by them who I met there and one of them is on the image.
観音開きをAusではrunningと言います。
ポールを上げたらコックピットもサイドデッキにも戻りません。マストを背もたれにして、座ります。
これは本気で’遊ぶ’レースのお話です。本気レース艇に乗ってる方々はそんな時間はないと思うでしょう。しかし、これはオーストラリアのクラブレースのお話です。
スピンを上げても上げなくても、この時間はビールの時間です。あ、ビールを飲まない飲むはクルーの自由。
風と帆と空だけの世界。(と、時々ビール)
そこから聞こえる話し声と笑い声。
この時間が大好きです。
なんでヨットが好きなのか。を、聞かれた時、僕はこう答えた。
ヨットが憧れだから。
ヨットの様に凛とした人になりたいから。
ヨットの様に強くしなやかでありたいから。
しかし、あの頃の僕はシングルハンドになりたかった。誰にも指図されずに、自分の思う様にヨットと遊びたかった。
ここでヨットに乗って、教えてもらった事は
誰かと乗るって、すごく楽しいのだと。
あ、日本でも楽しかったんですよ？
単にシングルハンドがカッコいいと思ってたのと、その人のやり方と私のやり方は違う時があって。
ここで乗って、意見を言って議論できる。そう、洋上で言い争える。それが、もっと楽しかっただけです。
