あなたはあなたで、僕は僕。
これは、僕が常日頃思っていることです。
僕らは同じ世界にいても、僕らはどこか違う。
それが個性と呼ぶモノであり、
それは時に認められ、時に排除させられる。
幼き頃、集団生活の中で求められた「皆と同じでなければ」という固定観念。それを壊したく、僕とイラストレーターのaiさんは写真とイラストによる表現と、その融合を展開しました。
テーマは誰もが知っている四季、春・夏・秋・冬。
個々が思う四季に間違いはなく、そこに物事の捉え方の違い、意見の不一致や合致があって当然ではないでしょうか？
という考えを、動画にしました。
僕らも活動での打ち合わせはしても、四季については一切、話しませんでした。
各々の完成作品を初めて見たときに、どこか似ている面もあれば、全く違う面もあり。2人で行う課題は、なかなか面白かったです。
動画では2人で活動する意図、それぞれの作品を紹介し、さらに季節ごとに２人の作品を重ね合わせました。
完結している各自の表現が合わさったら、一体どんな事が起きるのか。という実験的な部分から、各々の作品を組み合わせました。
それらによる共鳴も不協和音も、両方アリだと思ってます。
それ故に未熟さを感じる部分もあるかもしれませんが、それが今の僕らの「個性」として、捉えていただけたら幸いです。
We are alive in one world, however, we aren’t the same, it is called ‘individuality’.
When I was growing up in a community, I felt I would lose myself because they wanted us to be the same.
In my opinion, the uniqueness, myself and yourself, is important for life. However, for example, if someone thinks different thought from others, others think someone is crazy.
The individuality as well as the uniqueness is the opposite of a stereotype of mind that we have to be the same.
An illustrator, ai, and I would like to break the mind cause we did work together as collaboration, photography and watercolour art. Besides, we had chosen four seasons, spring, summer, autumn and winter, as a theme so that everyone knows the seasons and all of us can imagine about it.
Of course, we hadn’t talked about the seasons until we finished our works with each other.
I created the video for myself and yourself. In the video, the show of each artwork and I did convert the new ones that are from our individual works to an image.
It calls the collaboration as well as the coexistence of uniqueness.
